Chiron Corporation. The Group's principal activity is to develop, manufacture and market human healthcare products. It operates in three segments Biopharmaceuticals, Vaccines and Blood Testing. Biopharmaceuticals segment discovers, develops, manufactures and markets a range of therapeutic products. Blood Testing segment develops and markets a range of blood safety products used by the blood banking and transfusion medicine industry. Vaccines segment offers more than 30 vaccines including flu, meningococcal, travel and pediatric vaccines and Its products include Procleix(R) HIV-1/HCV Assay, RIBA(R) tests, Procleix(R) UltrioTM Assay, Procleix(R) WNV Assay DTP, diphtheria, TOBI(R) for pseudomonal lung infections in cystic fibrosis patients and Proleukin(R) for cancer. The operations of the Group are carried out in the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Japan, Germany, France, Italy, Belgium and other foreign. Biopharmaceuticals accounted for 33% of 2005 revenues; Vaccines, 31%; Blood Testing, 29% and Other, 7%
