CIMA LABS INC.. The Group's principal activity is to develop and manufacture fast dissolve and enhanced-absorption oral drug delivery systems. The Group's OraSolv and DuraSolv technologies are oral forms that incorporate active drug ingredients into tablets, making them dissolve quickly in the mouth without chewing or the need for water. The Group manufactures seven brands, which utilize its fast-dissolving technologies, for major pharmaceutical partners. They include Triaminic Softchews manufactured for Novartis, Tempra FirsTabs for Bristol-Myers Squibb, Alavert and Dimetapp ND for Wyeth, Zomig-ZMT for Astra Zeneca, Remeron SolTab for Organon and NuLev for Schwarz Pharma. In addition, the Group is also developing drug delivery technologies, OraVescent SL for drug delivery under the tongue and OraVescent BL for drug delivery between the gum and the cheek.
