Samsung Engineering & Construction Co., Ltd. was established in 1957. Constructions of chemical plants, electrical plants, heating works, railway works and construction aggregates accounted for 74% of 1994 revenues; residential buildings, 25%; golf courses and other, 1%. Export sales accounted for 7% of 1994 revenues. The company has one consolidated subsidiary based in South Korea and five unconsolidated subsidiaries, one each in Malaysia, the United States, Mexico, the United Kingdom and Russia.
