Associated Materials Incorporated. The principal activities of the Group are to manufacture and distribute exterior residential building products and electrical cable products. The Company operates through its two divisions, Alside and AmerCable. Alside manufactures vinyl sidings, windows, fencing, decking and garage doors and AmerCable manufactures jacketed electrical cable utilized in mining, shipboard, marine, offshore, drilling and transportation industries. The Company markets its products through wholesalers and supply centers. The Company's Alside has a nationwide distribution network of 69 supply centers which markets manufactured products and other complementary building products to more than 30,000 professional home improvement and new construction contractors.
