Braas Gmbh

Braas GmbH is a manufacturer of roofing materials, chimney systems and other building supplies. The company is organised into four business units. The pitched roof unit produces concrete, clay & slate roof tiles, roofing system components and roof windows. The flat roof unit manufactures plastic roofing & waterproofing membranes, as well as flat roof system accessories. The third business unit produces and markets chimney and ventilation systems, while the fourth unit is involved in other building materials such as bricks, transparent & pressed sheets, sand and gravel. The Braas group manufactures its products at 111 plants in 11 different mainland European countries. Building materials for pitched roofs accounted for 75% of 1993 revenues; chimney and ventilation systems, 14%; building materials for flat roofs, 9% and other building materials, 2%.
