Municipal Mortgage and Equity, L.L.C.. The Group's principal activity is to originate, invest and provide investment-related services to multifamily housing finance. The Group invests in mortgage revenue bonds or the interests in mortgage revenue bonds, issued by state and local governments or their agencies or authorities to finance multifamily housing developments. The Group operates in four segments: Investing, Tax credit equity and Real estate finance. Investing, consists of subsidiaries producing tax-exempt interest income through investments in tax-exempt bonds, interests in bond securitizations, taxable loans and derivative financial instruments. Tax credit equity, generates fees by providing tax credit equity syndication and asset management services. Structured finance, Invest in other real estate-related securities, including equity investments. The fund management, provide loan origination and other related services.
