AMRESCO, Inc.. The Group's principal activity is to provide loans primarily to franchisees of nationally recognized restaurant, hospitality and service organizations and to small business owners. The activities of the Group are carried out through three business segments: Commercial finance, Asset management and Home equity lending. The commercial finance segment focuses on loans to service organizations and small business owners. The asset management segment is in the process of liquidating the group's owned asset portfolios which are managed by Lend Lease. The home equity lending segment originates, sells and services nonconforming first mortgage loans. On 17-Mar-2000, the Group completed the disposal of its commercial mortgage banking and asset management and real estate structured finance platforms to Lend Lease. Commercial Finance accounted for 65% of 2000 revenues, Asset Management, 20%; Home Equity Lending, 8% and Other, 7%.
