Aegis Realty, Inc.. The Group's principal activity is to acquire, renovate, own and operate supermarket-anchored neighborhood shopping centers. It has qualified as a real estate investment trust under the Internal Revenue Code of 1986 as amended. On 31-Mar-2002, the Group owned a portfolio of 28 retail properties containing approximately 3.0 million gross leaseable square feet and held partnership interests in 2 suburban garden apartment properties. Its retail properties are located in 14 states and comprise of neighborhood shopping centers anchored by nationally recognized and/or credit tenants such as Kroger, Publix, Safeway, Food Lion, Bi-Lo, Hy-Vee, Walgreens and CVS Stores. On 26-Mar-2003, the Group merged with a subsidiary of Phillips Edison Ltd.
