Elyo SA (formerly known as Ufiner-Cofret SA and previously known as Ufiner SA-Union Financiere pour l'Industrie et l'Energie) operates and maintains buildings & provides related services including heating, refrigeration, electricity & telephone maintenance to both industrial and individual consumers. It also designs, installs, finances and maintains the heating & cooling systems of various urban buildings. It is involved in the conversion of waste to energy, the sorting, treatment and disposal of waste materials and the production & distribution of electricity and gas. In 1997 the group received two certificates AFAQ ISO 9000 and ISO 14001 and also consolidated Lyonnaise des Eaux de Casablanca (LYDEC). Elyo operates in Europe, the USA, Pacific, Asia and Morocco. Operation and maintenance of buildings accounted for 64% of 1997 revenues; urban heating/cooling systems and waste treatment systems, 28% and electricity & gas, 8%.
