First Years Inc. (The). The Company's principal activities are designing, developing, marketing and distributing basic accessory and related products for infants and toddlers. The product ranges are categorized into feeding and soothing, care and safety and play and discover products. Feeding and soothing products include bottles, nipples, teethers, bowls, drinking cups, dishes, flatware, and bibs. Care and safety category includes products which are useful in the health and hygiene of infants. Play and discover products include entertaining and skill-developing toys. The Company markets and sells the products to mass merchants, super markets, drug stores and department stores. The Company's export sales, primarily to Europe, Canada, South America and the Pacific Rim. On 15-Sep-2004, the Group acquired RC2 Corporation.
