Candie's, Inc.. The Group's principal activity is to design, market and distribute women's casual and fashion footwear. It also markets and distributes children's footwear under the CANDIE'S and BONGO trademarks and a variety of men's workboots, hiking boots, winter boots, and outdoor casual shoes designed and marketed under private labels and the ASPEN(R) brand. The Group also licenses the CANDIE'S and BONGO brands for a variety of other product categories. It operates 13 retail stores, consisting of five outlets and eight specialty stores and a web store located at www.candies.com. The retail customers include department stores, including Federated Department Stores and May Company, specialty stores and other outlets in the United States. The Group has operations in the United States, Hong Kong and British Virgin Islands. On 23-Apr-2002, the Group acquired the remaining 50% interest in Unzipped Apparel LLC.
