Deb Shops, Inc.. The Group's principal activity is to operate women's and men's specialty apparel retail stores. It operates 318 stores under the name 'DEB' which offer fashionable apparel for junior and plus sizes. In addition, the Group operates three outlet stores under the name 'CSO'. The outlet stores offer the same merchandise as DEB at reduced prices. It also operates six apparel retail stores in the name 'Tops `N Bottoms' and it sell moderately priced men's and women's apparel. As of 31-Jan-2007, the Group operates 336 specialty apparel stores in 42 states, located in the East and Midwest regions of the United States. During the first quarter of 2006 it opened six stores, closed three stores and remodeled 2 existing locations. Group is in the process of developing new point-of-sale software that is expected to provide enhancements to our merchandising and financial control processes.
