Dial Corporation. The principal activities of the Group are the manufacture and marketing of consumer products. The Company markets under brand names Dial-soaps, Purex-detergents, Renuzit-air fresheners and Armour-canned meats. The company operates in four reportable segments namely Domestic branded, Specialty Personal Care, International and Commercial Markets and Other. Domestic Branded segment is comprised of four franchises: Personal Cleansing, Laundry Care, Air Fresheners and Food products. Specialty Personal Care segment includes a variety of skin, hair, bath, body and foot care products sold under the brand name Freeman, Sarah Michaels and Nature's Accents. International segment, the Company distributes its products in more than 40 countries. Commercial Markets segment sells branded and non-branded products. Non-durable consumer products accounted for 77% of 2000 revenues; international, 12%; specialty personal care, 7% and commercial markets and other, 4%.
