In 1997 Carnival Corporation and Airtours Plc. acquired a 97% share in Costa Crociere Spa. Holiday cruises accounted for 66% of 1997 revenues; on-board sales, 14%; flights and other cruise services, 13%; catering services, 6% and other, 1%.
