Company Description
Laidlaw Inc. The Group's principal activities are to provide transportation services. The Group provides inter-city bus services, municipal transit services, ambulance transportation services and hospital emergency management services. The Group operates through three segments: Contract Bus services, Healthcare services and Greyhound transportation services. The Contract Bus services segment provides school bus transportation and municipal and paratransit bus transportation. The Healthcare services segment provides healthcare transportation and emergency management services throughout the United States. The Greyhound segment provides inter-city and tourism bus transportation throughout North America. The Group operates from nearly 4000 locations in the United States and Canada. The Group operates in Canada and the United States. Contract Bus services accounted for 40% of fiscal 2002 revenues; Healthcare services, 32% and Greyhound transportation, 28%.
