The Group's principal activities are to own, operate, manage and franchise hotels under its proprietary AmeriSuites, Wellesley Inns & Suites and Prime Hotels and Resorts brand names and under franchise agreements with national hotel chains. At 01-Mar-2004, the Group owned and operated 126 hotels, operated 54 hotels for real estate investment trusts, managed 24 hotels for third parties and franchised 56 hotels. The Group's portfolio is comprised of 148 AmeriSuites hotels, 82 Wellesley Inns & Suites hotels, three Prime Hotels and Resorts hotels and 27 non-proprietary brand hotels.
