Company Description
Country Road Limited. The Group's principal activities are the designing, wholesaling, licensing and retailing of apparel, homewear and related accessories. At 30-Jun-2002 the Group had 42 stores: 36 located in Australia and 6 in New Zealand. It also operates in Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Indonesia, South Africa and Malaysia as a wholesaler. The main brand is Country Road. On 17-Jan-2002 the directors of the Group resolved to withdraw financial and operational support to the Country Road USA companies. Consequently the USA business was closed and a trustee was appointed to liquidate the assets of the companies.
