Most merchants can use 2-ply slips--one copy for your bank and one for your customer--but if you need to send a copy of the sales to your accounting department, for example, you'll want 3-ply. And don't forget credit slips, which are your means for issuing a refund. You won't need as many of those as of the sales slips, but it's smart to have them on hand just in case.
