Dan River Inc.. The Group's principal activities are to manufacture, design and market variety of textile products, primarily home fashions and apparel fabrics. The Group operates in three segments: home fashions, apparel fabrics and engineered products. Home fashions products consist of bedroom furnishings such as comforters, sheets, pillowcases, shams, bed skirts, decorative pillows and draperies. Apparel products include a broad range of woven cotton and cotton-blend apparel fabrics. Engineered product consists of engineered yarns and fabrics including high-pressure hoses and conveyer belts. The customers of the Group are domestic retailers, hospitality, healthcare industries, clothing manufacturers, automobile and tire manufacturers. The trademarks of the Group include Barbie, Bob the Builder, Hummer, I Spy, Looney Tunes, Rubbadubbers, Scooby-Doo and Powerpuff Girls. Home Fashions accounted for 72% of 2003 revenues; Apparel Fabrics, 21% and Engineered Products, 7%
