Barefoot Inc. provides professional lawn care services through its subsidiaries Barefoot Grass Lawn Service, Inc. and Barefoot Grass Canada Inc. The company provides lawn care services to its customers through periodic applications of fertilizer and as-needed applications of weed and insect controls. The company also offers additional service options including tree and shrub care, lawn aeration, liming and seeding. Other operations include franchise systems through which the company generates franchise fees and royalty income. The company operates in 90 market areas, 49 of which are served by company-owned branches, 38 by franchises and 3 by branchises. The company also began five new franchise operations during the fiscal year 1995. Customer services accounted for 98% of fis 95 revenues and franchise fee and royalty income, 2%.
