Davey Tree Expert Company (The). The Group's principal activity is to provide a wide range of horticultural services to residential, commercial, utility and institutional customers. The Group operates in two segments: Residential and Commercial Services and Utility Services. The Residential and Commercial Services segment provide services for the treatment, preservation, maintenance, cultivation, planting and removal of trees, shrubs and other plant life and also includes services like landscaping, tree surgery, tree feeding and tree spraying, application of fertilizers, herbicides and insecticides. The Utility Services segment provides line clearing for public utilities, including the clearing of tree growth from power lines. The Group also provides natural resource management solutions, urban and utility forestry research and development, natural resources consulting and environmental planning.
