General Host Corporation is a domestic retailer of lawn and garden products, crafts, christmas merchandise and pet food and supplies. Operating through it's subsidiaries, Frank's Nursery and Crafts and Frank's Super Crafts, it operates 261 stores in 16 states. Principal products include trees, shrubs, plants, fabric decorating products, christmas trees and products. Lawn and garden supplies accounted for 50% of 1996 revenues; craft merchandise, 29%; christmas merchandise, 16% and pet foods and supplies, 5%.
