PlayCore, Inc. (formerly known as Swing-N-Slide Corp) designs, manufactures and markets commercial and consumer outdoor playground equipment, backyard play products and wooden storage buildings. The commercial division markets its modular and custom playground systems and components to municipalities, schools, parks and other playground systems users. The consumer division manufactures kits for wooden swing sets and climbing units, plastic slides and related products, yard barns, custom-built garages and weekender cabins. The other products manufactured by the company include mini-playgrounds, sandboxes, basketball and soccer equipment, picnic tables, picnic benches and site amenities such as benches, litter receptacles and bicycle racks. The products of the company are sold under the brand names Gametime and Swing-N-Slide. During the year the company acquired Heartland Industries Inc. Backyard play systems and wooden storage buildings accounted for 56% of 1999 revenues and playground systems and related products, 44%.
