Philippine Long Distance Telephone Company(PLDT). The Group's principal activity is providing telecommunications services. The Group's operations are carried out through three businesses its Wireless, Fixed Line, and Information and Communication Technology divisions. Wireless operation provides telecommunication services comprising cellular communication, wireless broadband, wireless content, satellite and aperture terminal. Fixed Line telecommunication services offers local exchange, international long distance, national long distance, data and other network and miscellaneous services. This division operates through a long digital fibre optic backbone, which is supported by an extensive digital microwave backbone which reaches to all major cities and municipalities with a concentration in the Metropolitan area. Information and Communications Technology provides services relating to Internet applications, Internet protocol-based solutions and multimedia content. Wireless accounted for 57% of 2006 revenues; Fixed Line, 38% and Information and Communications Technology, 5%
