California Amplifier Incorporated. The Group's principal activity is to design, manufacture and market microwave equipment. This equipment is used in the reception of video transmission from satellites and wireless terrestrial transmission sites and two-way wireless transceivers used in the emerging fixed point wireless voice (telephony) and data (Internet) applications. The Group operates in three segments: Satellite products, Wireless Access products and Antenna products. Satellite dishes are used for the reception of video, audio and data transmitted from orbiting satellites. The Group's legacy Wireless Access products relate primarily to microwave down converter/amplifier. Antenna Products segment designs, manufactures and markets antennas for wireless applications, primarily for Global Positioning Satellite (GPS) applications. On 05-Apr-2002, the Group acquired Kaul-Tronics Inc. Satellite products accounted for 88% of fiscal 2003 revenues and Wireless Access products, 12%.
