SSE Telecom, Inc.. The principal activities of the Company are to design, manufacture and market satellite communications products and systems for the transmission of voice, data, fax and video. The Company's products include STAR satellite transceivers, modems, rack converters, T-series outdoor converters and transportable satellite terminals (Fly-Away earth stations). The transceivers are designed for worldwide use in satellite earth stations. The modems and complementary redundancy switches provide voice, data, and video communications where industry standard modulation techniques and programmable coding options are required. Transportable terminals are designed for maximum performance in a small package with quick and eary set up with no tools. The U.S. Government and Loral/Orion, Inc. are major customers. Exports to Western Europe, Asia Pacific, Argentina, Mexico and Canada accounted for 53% of fiscal 2000 revenues.
