The Nortel CallPilot is a great option for managing your business communications. With versions covering small to enterprise sized businesses, CallPilot coordinates voice, fax and integrated unified messaging (UM) through either your desktop email client or through a software program you can install, called My CallPilot, that provides an easy-to-use user interface while interacting with the CallPilot website. Like a receptionist, CallPilot answers calls, routes them to extensions and mailboxes in the system and takes messages.

With CallPilot (aka Call Pilot) you can access your email, faxes and voicemail from any touch-tone telephone, from a desktop PC email client, through a web browser or through any mobile email-enabled device. It won't add to traffic on your company's email, WAN or LAN system and it can use existing client programs such as Novell GroupWise, Microsoft Outlook, Lotus Notes and Internet mail clients such as Netscape, Macintosh and Qualcom Eudora Pro. CallPilot Unified Messaging includes faxing, but this feature must be requested as part of the CallPilot client profile. You can then send and receive faxes. You can send a fax by printing from a Word document and selecting the Nortel Fax printer driver.
