Atlas Air Worldwide Holdings Incorporated Formerly known as Atlas Air Incorporated. The Group's principal activity is to provide airport-to-airport cargo transportation services throughout the world to major international air carriers. The Group provides services generally under three-to-five-year fixed-rate US dollar contracts, which typically requires the supply of aircraft, crew, maintenance and insurance. It also provides charter and schedule services on an ad hoc basis. The Group's current fleet consists of 21 Boeing 747-200, 3 Boeing 747-300 and 12 Boeing 747-400. The customers include leading air carriers like British Airways, China Airways Ltd and Korean Airways. The Group provides air cargo services to the Asian and the Pacific Rim markets from the United States and Europe. In 2001, it acquired Polar Air Cargo. Contract services accounted for 90% of 2001 revenues and Charters, Scheduled services and Other, 10%.
