Fairchild Corporation (The). The Group's principal activities are to manufacture and distribute airframe components for commercial and military aircraft. It operates in three business segments: The Sports and Leisure segment is engaged in the design and retail sale of protective clothing, helmets and technical accessories for motorcyclists in Europe and the design and distribution of such apparel and helmets in the United States. The Aerospace Distribution Segment stocks and distributes a wide variety of aircraft parts and related support services to commercial airlines, air cargo carriers, fixed-base operators, corporate aircraft operators and other aerospace companies. The Real Estate Operations segment owns and leases a shopping center located in New York, and owns and rents a building in Chatsworth and a manufacturing facility located in Fullerton.
