N.v. Kon. Ned. Vliegtuigenfabriek Fokker

N.V. Koninklijke Nederlandse Vliegtuigenfabriek Fokker is an aerospace company engaged in the development, manufacture and marketing of medium-sized aircraft for commercial and military use. Fokker's product line includes the Fokker 50, 60, and 100 aircraft, as well as the Fokker 70, a 70-79 seat passenger jet launched in 1993. The company also supplies aircraft components to other manufacturers, such as Airbus Industrie and Boeing. Fokker also overhauls and modifies aircraft to specification, and is involved in work on guided weapon systems (rocket launch tubes), helicopter design (components & modification) and space products (parachute systems for solid fuel rocket tanks, external robot arms and structural components for rockets). In 1993 Fokker signed a partnership agreement with the aircraft manufacturer Gulfstream, whereby Fokker will design and produce the tail section and the floor section of Gulfstream's new GV ultra-long-haul business jet. A memorandum of understanding was also signed with Ball Aerospace (USA) in regard to sciamachy instrumentation research and development. Aircraft manufacture accounted for 80% of 1994 revenues; overhaul and repair, 6%; space, other products, goods for resale & other development orders, 14%.
