Hub Group, Inc.. The Group's principal activities are to provide asset-light freight transportation management services. It provides transportation services in three categories: Intermodal, Truck Brokerage and Logistics. The Intermodal segment offers movement of freight in containers and trailers for long distances and also provides electronically tracking of shipments in transit. The Truck Brokerage segment provides services through contracts with substantial base of carriers by negotiating rates and track shipments in transit. The Logistics segment provides technology and solutions for shipment optimization, load consolidation, mode selection, carrier management, load planning and execution and web-based shipment visibility. The Group operates in the United States, Canada and Mexico. On 28-Feb-2006, it acquired Comtrak Inc . On 01-May- 2006, it discontinued the operations of Hub Group Distribution Services LLC.
