Union Tank Car Company. The Group's principal activity is the leasing of railway tank cars and other railcars. It is a wholly owned subsidiary of Marmon Holdings, Inc. It operates through three segments: Railcar segment is related to leasing of railway tank cars and other railcars to North American manufacturers and other shippers of chemical products. Metals Distribution segment distributes carbon steel, stainless steel and aluminum tubular products; chrome and stainless bar; other carbon steel products. Intermodal Tank Container Leasing segment owns, manages, leases and maintains intermodal tank containers which helps in transporting cargo by way of multiple modes of transportation including road, rail or ship. As of 31- Dec-2005, the Group's railcar fleet comprised 69,756 tank cars and 15,577 railway cars of other types. It operates in the United States, Canada and Other countries.
