National Express Group PLC. The Group's principal activity is providing mass passenger transport services. The Group's operations are carried out through its Trains, Bus, Coach, and Coach and Bus division. Train business provides a range of intercity, commuter and rural passenger train services and train maintenance operation. This division provides high-frequency local train services in the East and West Midlands and long-distance services between the Midlands, East Anglia, North West and the East Coast. Bus division offers high-frequency urban bus services operating primarily in Birmingham and across the West Midlands, and Dundee-Scotland. Coach business offers integrated network of scheduled and contracted coach services in three business segments - shuttle, airport and European coaching. The Group also has coach and bus operations throughout Spain, Portugal and Morocco. During 2006, the Group acquired the remaining 67% share capital of Altram LRT Ltd (Altram).
