Company Description
Amerco Incorporated. The Group's principal activities are carried out through four segments: Moving and Storage Operations, Property and Casualty Insurance, Life Insurance and SAC Holding II Corporation. The Moving and Storage operations consist of the rental of equipment such as trucks and trailers, the sale and rental of self-storage spaces. Property and Casualty Insurance segment originates and reinsures property and casualty-type insurance products for various market participants. Life Insurance segment originates and reinsures annuities, credit life and disability, single premium whole life, group life and disability coverage, and Medicare insurance. SAC Holding II Corporation own self-storage properties that are managed by U-Haul under property management agreements and act as independent U-Haul rental equipment dealers.It operates in the United States and Canada. Moving & Storage acctd for 90% of fis 2006 gross revs; Life Insurance, 7%; Property & Casuality Insurance, 2% & SAC, 1%
