Shurgard Storage Centers, Inc.. The principal activities of the Group are developing, acquiring, owning and managing self storage centers and related operations. At present the Company is operating through a network of 428 storage centers and three business parks located throughout the United States and in Europe. During the year 2000, the Company acquired the remaining interest in Shurgard Institutional Fund LP II. Rental income accounted for 99% of 2000 revenues and property management, 1%.
