Allied Holdings, Inc.. The Group's principal activities are to provides logistics and other support services to the automotive industry. It operations are carried through two business segments: Allied Automotive Group and Axis Group. Allied Automotive Group provides a range of automotive delivery services including transporting new, used and off-lease vehicles to dealers from plants, rail ramps, ports and auctions and providing vehicle rail-car loading and unloading services. Axis Group provides distribution, automotive inspection services and logistics support services for the automotive industry. It also provides carrier management services for various automotive clients, leases equipment for containerized international shipment of vehicles and provides vehicle processing services at ports and inland distribution centers. It operates in the United States and Canada. Automotive Group operates a total of 76 terminals and Axis Group operates 39 terminals.
