Certificate Degree Programs
Tips & Advice to help you make your decision on Certificate Degree Programs
Have you been looking for certificate degree programs? A certificate degree, it should be noted, is not technically a diploma, or a degree for that matter as an accredited college or University's various levels of graduation are referred to either as a "diploma" of one sort or another or a "degree certificate." The naming of this sort of degree allows in most cases unaccredited schools to offer programs in specific subjects without notifying the paying individual that they are not actually college graduates upon completion. The "certificate" simply notes that you have competed a set of courses and is not in most cases an "Associates," "Bachelors," "Masters," or "Doctorate" in any subject.
Despite not necessarily being accredited, nor viewed as a degree by most employers, there are some uses for this certificate. While many of these schools offering this program are quite expensive, and even more so than a lot of State Universities which are accredited, they do accept a far wider range of applicants and they do allow you to "graduate" far sooner. In some instances the subject matter is useful in a specific niche. While most of these institutions offering certificates do advertise "job placement" the instances of them placing an individual varies so be sure to do some research.
Reviewing the reputation of these institutions is highly recommended, and you should look for unbiased reviews as a lot of these institutions are considered scams and will charge exorbitant amounts of money for not much education. Business.com provides links you may find useful.
