Essential Cisco Certifications For Your IT Department

Cisco training can be essential for your company’s IT department. As the leader in the business networking world, it would be beneficial to have the people handling your Cisco network properly trained. The Cisco 360 Learning Program has a variety of classes to offer that will prepare your team for any issues.

Upon completing the course, your IT members will have earned the Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert certificate (CCIE). This is the highest level of training they can receive. When enrolling, you will choose which of The Cisco 360 Learning Programs best suits your needs. These trainings are best suited for your employees that have been in the business for 3-5 years.

The CCIE Routing and Switching training will allow your employees to acquire expert level skills in the world of Cisco networking. The CCIE Voice Program will have a strict focus in getting your employees to an expert level Voice over IP configuring and troubleshooting.

In both of these programs the students will learn through a combined experience of live instruction, hands on lessons and training modules. This includes 30-35 hours of live trainer instruction. The program is taught by already trained Cisco Learning Partners. You can rely on these Cisco experts to provide the best training. Choosing a Cisco offered program will ensure that your employees are getting the most up to date and accurate information.

For either training, Cisco has recently extended the time your employees will have to access the learning portal. For the next 12-18 months they can use the Learning Management System to practice their newly acquired skills. This will provide your employees with optimal skills practice.

Cisco offers many other classes for all levels. If your IT department deals with customer concerns, you can get them trained in any number of courses that will prepare them for any Cisco related installation, problem or networking. To ensure the in office network is running smoothly, the entry level course offering a Cisco Certified Entry Networking Technician (CCENT) certificate would be a smart idea. Upon receiving this certificate, your employees will be able to troubleshoot and install a small network.

Other certifications include becoming a Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA). This is the next step and provides the skills to perform the same basic duties on the medium sized network. Advanced students can take courses to become a Cisco Certified Design Professional (CCDP) or Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP). These courses generally have pre-requites. A very familiar understanding of Cisco networking is required before entering the higher level courses.

Enrolling members of your IT department in courses such as the ones offered by Cisco can help your business in a variety of ways. Upon completion you can expand the services offered, by putting employees in the field helping other clients. You will also have a Cisco expert in house, eliminating the need to bring someone in upon having a network failure or other problem. This is an investment that will repay the company over and over.
