If you’re one of those people who never bothered to study other software apart from Word and Excel, then you’re in luck. The Microsoft 2007 has incorporated layout design into the program, with ready to use design templates. Just follow the following steps, and have your calendar designs ready in just minutes.

1. Open the Microsoft Word program. Create a New File, click on the small Windows icon on the upper left corner of the page, and click on New. This will open a dialogue box.

2. On the left side bar of the dialogue box is a set of categories you can choose from. Choose the calendar option.

3. This will give you the following choices:

a. 2008 Calendars – this is the best choice for your promotional calendar, but you might want to explore other calendar ideas as well.

b. 2007 Calendars –It will also be useful to print multiple copies of last years’ calendars with progress indicators and send them to your employees. Comparing past years performance with this year should be a great motivator.

c. Academic Year Calendars – for students and those who work in the academe, life begins (or ends) on September. This is a great promotional you can give away on September if your business caters to students or to schools, like Publishing houses, school supplies provider, etc.

d. Multiple Year Calendars - this is a small yearly calendar that fits in a single page. It is simply used to show the days of the dates in previous, present, and future year. When printing a full twelve month calendar, it would be a good idea to include this in the inside front cover.

e. Previous Year Calendars – You can also print the calendar of previous years.

f. Other Calendars – You may want to print a calendar that best fits your lifestyle. As a businessman, you may want to have a fiscal calendar rather than the regular one, or for the busy ones, perhaps a weekly calendar that lets you make more notes of your daily activities is preferable.

4. Click on one of the choices given above. For the sake of this article, let us assume you chose the 2008 calendar. This will open up a set of templates you can choose from.

5. Click on the template of your choice.

6. A software validation box will appear, and just click continue.

7. When you have your template open, you can adjust the text size, font size, and colors to your specification, the way you use any other word document. You can also include a picture or an image at the top part of the calendar.

8. Save the file in a folder entitled: 2008 Calendar

You can find an online printing company you can ask to print your promotional calendar. Their technical support should be able to convert your word file into a print ready file format. If you find uploading too difficult, you can ask their technical support for further instructions.

Designing and calendar printing is easier than ever. If you want more calendar template varieties, you can search online for other calendar templates. Or better yet, ask your printing company, most of them have their own design template you can choose from.
