Tri-fold

Tri-fold refers to the way to create a folded brochure. Typically, a brochure will be folded into three parts (tri-fold) so the customer reads the front, opens it and then reads the back.

Layout

Layout is the design you use to create a brochure. This means placing any pictures, logos, graphics and words on the brochure.

Typography

Typography is placing the copy on the page the way you want your final version to look.

Logo

A logo is a company's symbol. Instead of hearing the words, you see the symbol and instantly know it's for a certain company. Your company logo should be on every brochure you create so that it becomes widely known.

Templates

Templates refer to already made-up generic brochures in which you can insert your personal messages and information. Some templates allow you to change some of the graphics.

Flyers

Flyers are another name for brochures. Typically, a flyer is a single piece of paper instead of a folded sheet, and the information is on one side of the sheet. Many use flyer and brochure interchangeably, although there are differences.
