Many homes, companies, and office buildings use glass doors to add to the beauty of their building. You find glass doors in many different shapes, styles, and designs. Glass doors key terms help distinguish the various types of doors. For example, fully beveled, water glass, and textured glass all describe the appearance of the glass in the door. Other terms, such as sliding glass door, discusses how the door opens and closes. Words like caming are used in the manufacturing of the glass door.

Waterglass

Waterglass is a type of textured glass that adds privacy to glass doors; it resembles ripples in water. Stores sell clear waterglass along with waterglass in a variety of colors.

Caming

Sliding glass door

Insulated glass

Manufacturers create insulated glass doors by using two or more pieces of glass in the door. Air is between the pieces of glass.
