Learn about the sizes and types of mattresses

By Terri Deno
Mattresses come in a variety of sizes and comfort levels. The comfort level is best determined by the type of material a mattress is made of. Mattresses can be constructed from memory foam, innerspring coils, latex or other specialty types. Another factor in the comfort level of a mattress is whether a box spring is used. Since mattresses can last 10 years or more with proper care, choosing the right mattress to meet specific needs is important.
