If you need an agricultural tractor, then you don't need to worry about a three-point hitch. If you want industrial tractors, then you don't need to focus on mowing features. Cost is an overall consideration as well; you want to get your money's worth for the product your company needs.

Save money, and buy a used compact tractor

If you're looking for a compact tractor, then it's best to purchase one of these used. Why? The average life of a diesel engine is around 4,000 hours with proper maintenance. If you plan to use the tractor for less than 1,000 hours per year, then it's an ideal investment to cut budget costs by purchasing used tractors.

Like any piece of equipment, farm tractors may eventually wear down and need repairs. Brakes might need to be replaced, belts may need changing, filters may become dirty or the hitch may need to be repaired.
