Although you may use only a few types of laboratory equipment during the course of a workday, knowing the basic key terms of some other types can help you to think outside the box when new projects come up.

Eudiometer

An eudiometer is a graduated glass tube used to measure reactions of gases. Some are curved, while others are straight. Many eudiometers have electrical charge connections.

Pycnometer

A pycnometer is a density analyzer that can measure very small bits of matter. Most pycnometers use a method called the Gas Displacement Technique.
