You can use either an automatic or a semi-automatic labeling machine to put product labels on parts and products, or simply to apply bar codes for inventory purposes. If you're in the market for such a machine, there are a few things you need to consider before making such an investment.

The main thing you need to think about before buying an automatic labeler is the types of jobs that you'll be using the machine for. They typically come in various levels of automation:

1. Fully automatic labelers

2. Semi-automatic labeling equipment

3. A mixture of the two, depending on your manufacturing needs

Look for automatic labeling machines that are easy to change in the middle of a job

One of the first things that you should look for in a machine is ease of use, and the ease with which you can switch between print jobs. Some machines may take hours to change jobs, while others take mere minutes. This can make a huge difference in your profits, so choose carefully.

Generally a labeler can do wrap labels, or front, back or top labels. Many machines can do several of these, which make them a better investment in the long run. You may also be interested in one that does relabeling, in case something gets missed in the production line.

Don't be afraid to haggle if the price isn't what you want, because they usually have a bit of flexibility.
