The boiler feed varieties are used to close a boiler system by condensing the steam back into water and returning it to the boiler, where it is again heated to steam. The sump pump varieties prevent water buildup in heating, ventilating, and air conditioning (HVAC) machinery by pumping water out of collection pans or tanks.
