Are you a "full stack" developer who can work on LAMP stack from the presentation layer to the database layer and everything in between? Does MacGuyver call you when he's in a bind? About You

  • You have experience building high traffic 24x7 web applications in PHP
  • You've dealt with scalability issues, caching, queuing and distributed storage
  • You're well versed in OOP, synchronous and asynchronous design patterns, the DRY principle, and unit testing (maybe even TDD)
  • You have deep experience with relational databases and database architecture (maybe some NoSQL experience too)
  • You're a master of HTML/CSS/Javascript and can bend the browser to your will
  • You're familiar with MVC and application frameworks for PHP
  • You've worked with a DVCS like Git (or are excited to work somewhere that uses it)
  • You thrive in a fast paced, agile, iterative and collaborative engineering environment where quality well tested code is highly valued
  • You're experienced with technologies like MySQL, MongoDB, RabbitMQ, Memcached, Nginx, Lucene, Sphinx and Yii
  • You have a solid foundation in computer science with strong competencies in data structures, algorithms and software design
  • Ideally you have a degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Applied Math or Physics and/or 5+ years of relevant engineering experience

Responsibilities

SEM Manager

Job Requirements & Skills

  • 2+ years of paid search marketing experience
  • Solid understanding of SEM strategies and track record of achieving results within paid search
  • Proficiency utilizing Google AdWords Editor and Microsoft adCenter; AdWords Certification a plus
  • Exceptional analytical/quantitative/statistical skills with ability to derive and communicate key insights from large amounts of data
  • Intellectual curiosity, passion for problem-solving, and a test-and-learn mentality
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel. Ability to synthesize and analyze large sets of data to yield actionable findings (pivot tables, advanced formulas, etc); Experience working with large databases, including SQL, a plus.
  • Desire to work in a fast-paced and fluid environment that employs a data-driven and test-centric culture
  • Past experience managing direct reports a plus
  • BA/BS degree in a quantitative discipline, such as Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science, etc.

Strategic Account Executive

Job Description

Business.com is looking for a highly motivated and experienced Strategic Account Executive to join our fast growing company. The Strategic Account Executive will work remotely and be responsible for developing a sales strategy to penetrate corporate accounts and their agencies. The desirable candidate will have existing relationships in Northern California within B2B advertising agencies and a proven track record of driving new business. This role works closely with the Performance Marketing team to onboard new clients and identify up-selling opportunities. This position will work as remote employee and report to the Director of Sales at our Carlsbad, CA headquarters.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Find, develop and qualify sales opportunities within our target audience across various companies and industries.
  • Will be required to drive territory development, as opposed to managing an existing book of business.
  • Demonstrate the value of the Business.com’s suite of products to address client goals and close deals in an expedient fashion.
  • Establish relationships with Sr. Executives (Presidents, GMs, VPs) by becoming a trusted and valued business partner
  • Conduct presentations to agencies and decision makers and manage the execution of the sales process, from qualification through closing
  • Consistently overachieve quarterly and annual sales quotas
  • Drive $3M+ in revenue in a highly competitive environment.
  • Quickly master the competitive landscape and develop understanding of how to differentiate Business.com products.

Required knowledge, skills, education and experience

  • 5 years' experience in enterprise sales in online advertising space
  • Agency sales experience required
  • Existing relationships with Northern California advertising agencies required
  • Bachelor's degree or Master's/MBA preferred.
  • Proven track record of meeting and exceeding quotas of $1MM and above.
  • Ability to sell to and manage senior-level relationships (Director, VP, CMO).
  • Superior public speaking, presentation and written skills
  • Expert sales skills including the ability to persuade overcome objections and quickly react on your feet.
  • Strong work ethic with a willingness to "do what it takes" to succeed.
