About You

  • You have experience building high traffic 24x7 web applications in PHP
  • You've dealt with scalability issues, caching, queuing and distributed storage
  • You're well versed in OOP, synchronous and asynchronous design patterns, the DRY principle, and unit testing (maybe even TDD)
  • You have deep experience with relational databases and database architecture (maybe some NoSQL experience too)
  • You're a master of HTML/CSS/Javascript and can bend the browser to your will
  • You're familiar with MVC and application frameworks for PHP
  • You've worked with a DVCS like Git (or are excited to work somewhere that uses it)
  • You thrive in a fast paced, agile, iterative and collaborative engineering environment where quality well tested code is highly valued
  • You're experienced with technologies like MySQL, MongoDB, RabbitMQ, Memcached, Nginx, Lucene, Sphinx and Yii
  • You have a solid foundation in computer science with strong competencies in data structures, algorithms and software design
  • Ideally you have a degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Applied Math or Physics and/or 5+ years of relevant engineering experience

Customer Care Representative

Job Description

Customer Care position that will spend the majority of his/her time consulting with Business.com customers, determining their business needs, and matching them with the most appropriate business vendors. The position will not include any cold calling but is outbound phone call heavy so a high energy level and positive attitude is a must. Candidate will follow up with businesses to provide additional resources and obtain feedback. Candidate will learn to consult new and growing businesses by identifying their needs and offering customer support and solutions.

We are currently looking for candidates that can work between 7am and 4pm, Monday through Friday. The position will be 40 hours per week.

This is a great opportunity to get a foot in the door at a rapidly growing company while gaining valuable sales, marketing, and customer service experience.

 

Responsibilities

  • Initial phone call to verify and offer support to all requests. 
  • Maintain a helpful and positive attitude 
  • Consult with business owners, determine their needs, and match them with the most appropriate vendors. 
  • Follow up with businesses obtain feedback and up sell new categories (based on daily goals) 
  • Investigate miss-entered information and attempt to correct 
  • Communicate with sales team to understand vendor needs and requirements.

Social Content Marketing Specialist

Job Description

The Social Content Marketing Specialist will be will be responsible for managing and executing all B2B social media and content campaigns for all O&O sites. This includes daily engagement on Facebook, Twitter, Google+, LinkedIn, Pinterest and others posting editorial content, responding to customers, fielding for customer service and increasing traffic to our site. In addition, the SMS will also monitor our engagement and responsible for measuring benchmarks and the impact of our programs based on visibility, views, reach, registrations, downloads, viral impact and online conversations.

In addition to the social media management and scaling our engagement programs via social, the social content specialist will also produce and coordinate compelling content to drive the business forward with our SMB market. Part of this responsibility includes building relationships with out experts and top bloggers and community groups.

This position has a high level of visibility and our preferred candidate will be a strong leader, excellent collaborator and have the ability to communicate clearly and compellingly verbally and written with all levels of the organization and our customers. We wear many hats here so candidates must be highly adaptable and able to iterate quickly.

Responsibilities

  • Research innovations in emerging technologies that enable personalized service across multi-platform customer engagement programs
  • Measure benchmarks and the impact of social media programs based on KPIs (visibility, views, reach, registrations, downloads, viral impact, online conversations), and analyze, review, and report on effectiveness of campaigns in an effort to maximize results
  • Daily engagement with Facebook, Twitter, Google+, YouTube, LinkedIn, Pinterest and identify any emerging platforms, including posting editorial content, responding and real time management

Qualifications

  • The right candidate will be comfortable in the Web 2.0 environment, including SEO, SMO, user-generated content, online newswires, social bookmarking and networking sites, blogs, micro blogs, and forums, video sharing, pod casting, and email distribution
  • Managing and executing B2B social media campaigns a plus
