About You

  • You have experience building high traffic 24x7 web applications in PHP
  • You've dealt with scalability issues, caching, queuing and distributed storage
  • You're well versed in OOP, synchronous and asynchronous design patterns, the DRY principle, and unit testing (maybe even TDD)
  • You have deep experience with relational databases and database architecture (maybe some NoSQL experience too)
  • You're a master of HTML/CSS/Javascript and can bend the browser to your will
  • You're familiar with MVC and application frameworks for PHP
  • You've worked with a DVCS like Git (or are excited to work somewhere that uses it)
  • You thrive in a fast paced, agile, iterative and collaborative engineering environment where quality well tested code is highly valued
  • You're experienced with technologies like MySQL, MongoDB, RabbitMQ, Memcached, Nginx, Lucene, Sphinx and Yii
  • You have a solid foundation in computer science with strong competencies in data structures, algorithms and software design
  • Ideally you have a degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Applied Math or Physics and/or 5+ years of relevant engineering experience

SEM Marketing Manager

Responsibilities

  • Hands-on management of the company's SEM initiatives, across Google, Yahoo!/Bing and 2nd tier bid platforms:
  • Keyword level bid optimization

  • Reporting: generate and distribute high-level performance reports for senior mgmt., and detailed/granular reports for marketing team

Job Requirements & Skills

  • 2+ years of paid search marketing experience
  • Solid understanding of SEM strategies and track record of achieving results within paid search
  • Proficiency utilizing Google AdWords Editor and Microsoft adCenter; AdWords Certification a plus
  • Exceptional analytical/quantitative/statistical skills with ability to derive and communicate key insights from large amounts of data
  • Intellectual curiosity, passion for problem-solving, and a test-and-learn mentality
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel. Ability to synthesize and analyze large sets of data to yield actionable findings (pivot tables, advanced formulas, etc); Experience working with large databases, including SQL, a plus.
  • Desire to work in a fast-paced and fluid environment that employs a data-driven and test-centric culture
  • Past experience managing direct reports a plus
  • BA/BS degree in a quantitative discipline, such as Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science, etc.

VP of Sales

Job Description

The primary responsibility of the VP of Sales will be to grow and manage the Company's customer/advertiser base. The VP Sales role will be a key executive team member and participate in the development of the company's strategic plan. Today, the sales team is broken into four groups: regional direct, national direct, agencies, and account management. Sales and account management are primarily inside/phone driven.

Responsibilities

  • Recruit, manage and develop a highly skilled sales team
  • Create & enhance training programs to onboard new members of the team efficiently while providing them the best opportunity to be successful
  • Create & enhance sales processes, scripts, and templates for sales and account management
  • Ability to build relationships with the company's largest prospects and customers to close, renew, and grow clients
  • Own advertiser driven KPIs including: gross revenue, revenue-per-lead # advertisers, customer retention and advertiser budget cap.
  • Manage the team based on data, including but not limited to # of calls, # of presentation, close percentage, and retention
  • Create a positive, energetic, collaborative culture within the sales organization
  • Build compensation plans, rewards, and recognition programs to incentivize and motivate the team
  • Generate detailed sales forecasts, with accompanying execution plans
  • Develop & enhance sales collateral and messaging
  • Work with marketing to promote a brand identity for the advertiser side of the business, (related to being the industry's "quality leader")
  • Collaborate with the traffic team to ensure supply/demand equilibrium
  • Participate as a key member on the company's executive team, providing data, insights, and ideas for improvement

Professional Qualifications

  • [10+] years of progressive experience, with a proven track record of success at rapidly growing companies
  • Majority of recent experience as the head of sales in an aggressive outbound, primarily inside sales organization (pro-actively calling customers; not responding to inbound leads)
  • Significant experience selling online advertising/technology solutions
  • Great recruiter with experience building and mentoring sales teams
  • Experience working in a fast paced environment and ability to adapt to pivots in business strategy and evolving market conditions
  • Ability to collect and analyze data to drive decisions.

Business Solutions Specialist

Job Description

Entry level sales position that will spend the majority of his/her time consulting with Business.com customers, determining their business needs, and matching them with the most appropriate business vendors. The position is outbound phone call heavy so a high energy level and positive attitude is a must. Candidate will follow up with businesses to provide additional resources and obtain feedback. Candidate will learn to consult new and growing businesses by identifying their needs and offering customer support and solutions.

We are currently looking for candidates that can work between 7am to 4pm, Monday through Friday. The position will be 20-35 hours per week to start.

This is a great opportunity to get a foot in the door at a rapidly growing company while gaining valuable sales, marketing, and customer service experience.
