System Administrator / DevOps Engineer

About You

  • You have 5+ years experience supporting high traffic, highly available, 24x7 web applications and medium or large sized server deployments

Business.com is seeking a Desktop Systems Administrator to help us grow our IT and web development environment. The Desktop System Administrator's typical day will include providing the 1st line of technical support for our Carlsbad office. The Desktop Systems Administrator is responsible for supporting Windows and Mac systems in the corporate environment and in our production environment. This includes desktops and laptops. The Desktop Systems Administrator will need to build, setup, maintain, implement, and troubleshoot technology problems related to laptops and desktops that affect end-user productivity.

He or she will work closely with all users and management for issue resolutions. He or she will help to provide monitoring for our IT and development infrastructure and assist in its growth. He or she also will need to understand fundamental IT concepts regarding hardware and software, networking, data storage, data backups, and monitoring. The Desktop System Administrator will report to the Chief Technology Officer.

Additional responsibilities include

  • Assist users with their software application requirements and access to IT resources via our helpdesk ticketing system.
  • Performing basic troubleshooting tasks and operating system support on Microsoft Windows OS and Mac OS X.
  • Setting up new users' systems and environments
  • Manage the Windows Active Directory domain
  • Configuring new applications for emerging business needs
  • Mobile device setup, installation and/or post installation support
  • Provide network, phone system, and desktop support
  • Participate in and drive projects related to Corporate desktop computing such as email, anti-virus software, archiving, backups
  • Document standards, best practices and policies
  • Maintain and organize technology inventory

Required Skills

  • Candidates should have minimum of 2 years of IT support experience
  • Communicate clearly and patiently via email, phone, and in-person conversations
  • Core competency with Microsoft Windows and Familiarity with data backup concepts and systems
  • Core understanding of common PC & Mac hardware components and connections.
  • Good problem-solving skills, ability to troubleshoot without continual escalation to higher levels of support.
  • Strong working knowledge of common applications: email (Gmail), Google drive, desktop publishing (Microsoft Office), web browsers (Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, Chrome)
  • Good data management, organizing, and prioritizing skills. You will be presented with numerous challenges and tasks simultaneously and be expected to track them all through to completion.

  • Ability to lift 50 pounds without assistance for the racking or other installation needs for new systems

The Product Manager is responsible for product research, planning, strategy and development of new and existing web products for Business.com. The Product Manager will gather and prioritize business requirements, define the product vision and work closely with content, sales, marketing, design, and technology to ensure revenue and audience goals are met and maintained. A majority of the work in this role will focus on initiatives geared towards growing Business.com’s audience and advertiser base. The Product Manager must possess a unique blend of business and technical savvy with big-picture vision and the drive to make that vision a reality.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the entire product life cycle from strategic planning to hands on tactical activities.
  • Define and manage the product roadmap for new initiatives and features, build internal excitement for the product vision
  • Work with Development, QA, Designers, Sr Leadership, Operations and Analytics teams to successfully design, build, deploy and monitor product deliverables for assigned projects
  • Translate business requirements into sound product features, balancing the needs of different stakeholders to deliver a well-rounded product
  • Develop strong analytics and feedback loop for the product and deliver iteratively based on the feedback, analyze performance of existing products
  • Manage communications and expectations with internal/external stakeholders on a regular basis.
  • Coordinate with the internal stakeholders and develop a Goto market plan.
  • Troubleshoot product issues and answer product questions.
  • Build business cases by identifying market opportunities, evaluating the competitive landscape and understanding user needs. Build models to predict product KPIs and drive backlog prioritization
  • Write rock solid user stories. Define, scope and prioritize the backlog with an understanding of tradeoffs and business impact
  • Develop user personas and a deep understanding of the Business.com user and his/her behavior
  • Assess opportunities, investigate and recommend new enhancements.
  • Develop clear acceptance criteria, and act as the agile product owner for determining product and feature readiness.
  • Act as product evangelist across the company.
  • Ensure all products fit within Business.com brand, market truth and strategy

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated ability to manage and ship consumer-facing websites on desktop and mobile
  • Demonstrated success defining and launching digital products
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to analyze product performance and recommend improvements (ex. Tracking metrics post-launch and on-going)
  • Must be a self-starter and enjoy building relationships across the business
  • Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams that do not directly report to you

We are seeking a Staff Accountant with 1-2 years accounting experience

Primary Duties

  • General ledger accounts analysis and reconciliation. Accurately prepare, reconcile and verify accounting information.
  • Reconcile all balance sheet accounts on a monthly basis, including preparing monthly invoicing on Day 1 of close. Properly manage all outstanding items.
  • Preparation of journal entries.
  • Accurately and timely prepare checks and own Accounts Payable
  • Ensure accuracy and validity of all disbursements. Process accounts payable, reconcile vendor accounts and perform expense analysis.
  • Prepare bank reconciliations.
  • Ensure timely sales and use tax filings, 1099 filings and other similar required federal, state or local filings.
  • Provide support during financial reviews and audits.
  • Provide support to sales team regarding billing
  • Perform other functions and support management with projects as assigned.
  • Deliver quality internal and external customer service, in accordance with company values, in order to build and maintain customer loyalty and teamwork, and contribute to the quality customer and employee experience

POSITION PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS

  • Degree: Bachelor's degree in Accounting
  • 1-2 years accounting experience; Good knowledge of GAAP.

We are looking for an analytically–oriented professional to manage our email/CRM/automation efforts. The Email Marketing Automation Manager should have experience with B2B databases, email, marketing automation and relationship marketing strategies to drive growth in demand generation and customer engagement for Business.com and its customers. We're looking for someone who can create scalable, repeatable processes, loves numbers and can review data sets, test hypotheses and ensure automation captures meaningful information. You must be able to get under the hood of our platforms and apply technology to support workflow. It’s important to have a creative eye for email design and provide feedback to our creative team. Our ideal candidate will have experience with high-volume email campaigns, generating revenue through email and demand generation growth, all while creating an engaged audience who trusts the brand.

This full-time position will be based in Carlsbad, CA.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the email automation and campaign process, including: planning, segmentation, deployment, reporting, testing, and optimization.
  • Manage multiple ESPs and high-volume send campaigns around 10-20 million/month
  • Manage data including segmentation and reporting, testing and optimization
  • Expert at laws surrounding email campaigns and CAN-SPAM
  • Expert in deliverability and compliance is met to ensure privacy and subscriber base is engaged
  • Develop and execute testing strategies to improve email metrics
  • Execute list segmentation strategies to increase engagement and retention
  • Analyze email campaign results including audience, offers, messaging, creative, deliverability, open rates, click through rates and conversion
  • Ability to coordinate multiple email efforts and streamlined nurture paths to improve conversions and maximize ROI
  • Work with sales operations to improve lead flow practices and continuously improve communications to support our mission as a digital media and marketer
  • Work with audience engagement team to turn visitors into subscribers providing the right content at the right time.
  • Communicate email strategies and plans for proper implementation
  • Share email program insights and recommendations with key internal and external partners for ongoing optimization.
  • Track, analyze and report performance and activity of partnerships and campaigns

Job Requirements

  • BA/BS degree in Marketing or related discipline
  • Minimum of 3-5 years marketing automation experience including program execution, reporting, tracking and sales enablement tools
  • Must have experience with ExactTarget
  • Additional experience with other enterprise level platforms like Eloqua, Marketo and Pardot is ideal
  • HTML/CSS knowledge a must
  • CAN-SPAN & CASL expertise
  • CRM background a must (Salesforce integrations specifically)
  • Database management required
  • B2B experience preferred
  • API integration with web properties and CRM properties preferred.

As an Account Executive, you will position our full suite of performance based, demand generation and digital advertising products (Display, PPC, Content Marketing and Sales Ready Leads) to national advertisers. You will drive new business through hunting, prospecting, cold calling and closing marketing and demand generation campaigns. You will take ownership over your region and drive new opportunities with the goal of growing your book of business. In this role you will

Qualifications
