Job Description

Are you a "full stack" developer who can work on LAMP stack from the presentation layer to the database layer and everything in between? Does MacGuyver call you when he's in a bind? About You

  • You have experience building high traffic 24x7 web applications in PHP
  • You've dealt with scalability issues, caching, queuing and distributed storage
  • You're well versed in OOP, synchronous and asynchronous design patterns, the DRY principle, and unit testing (maybe even TDD)
  • You have deep experience with relational databases and database architecture (maybe some NoSQL experience too)
  • You're a master of HTML/CSS/Javascript and can bend the browser to your will
  • You're familiar with MVC and application frameworks for PHP
  • You've worked with a DVCS like Git (or are excited to work somewhere that uses it)
  • You thrive in a fast paced, agile, iterative and collaborative engineering environment where quality well tested code is highly valued
  • You're experienced with technologies like MySQL, MongoDB, RabbitMQ, Memcached, Nginx, Lucene, Sphinx and Yii
  • You have a solid foundation in computer science with strong competencies in data structures, algorithms and software design
  • Ideally you have a degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Applied Math or Physics and/or 5+ years of relevant engineering experience

Account Executive – Inside Sales

Job Description

Business.com is seeking a highly motivated, self-starting individual to develop business through inside sales for its suite of nationwide products including Display Advertisement, Click Campaigns, Marketing and Sales Ready Leads.  As an Account Executive, you will have the opportunity to form consultative business relationships with key decision makers in an extremely competitive industry, all while maintaining the focus on growing your book of business. Responsibilities

  • Consistently meet or exceed all revenue goals
  • Make an average of 50 outbound calls per day
  • Identify and establish relationships with Sr. Executives at large, nationwide companies
  • Responsible for executing on all phases of the sales cycle such as lead generation, cold calling, online product demonstrations, proposal generation, campaign implementation and account management
  • Qualify and prioritize opportunities through customer needs analysis
  • Enter and track prospects and associated notes within Salesforce.com
  • All other duties as assigned

  • 1-2 years of relevant sales experience

Web Content Coordinator

Job Description

Do you eat, sleep and drink digital marketing? Do you have excellent writing skills? Are you aware of topical events, both relevant and trivial? Can you convey complex issues in surprisingly simple ways? Are you highly organized and thrive in a fast paced, deadline driven environment? We are looking for a Web Content Coordinator who is passionate about digital marketing with the ability to not only manage Business.com’s content calendar, but also write content for everything from marketing collateral to blog posts and manage social media. Must have the creativity and research skills to write forward thinking, entertaining, educational, sharable and sticky content that will be used for the acquisition and engagement of Business.com prospects and clients.

The Web Content Coordinator will work closely with the Director of Marketing and source content pieces from our network of freelance writers as well as internal resources. Applicant must have experience with social channels: Twitter, Google+, LinkedIn, Facebook and Pinterest as the coordinator will also push out content via our social graphs. In addition, the Web Content Coordinator will also monitor our engagement and measure benchmarks and the impact of our programs based on visibility, views, reach, registrations, downloads, viral impact and online conversations.

This position has a high level of visibility and our preferred candidate will be a strong leader, excellent collaborator and have the ability to communicate clearly and compellingly verbally and written with all levels of the organization and our customers. We wear many hats here so candidates must be highly adaptable and able to iterate quickly.

Qualifications

  • Writing, editing and proofreading experience
  • Google Analytics experience preferred
  • WordPress experience preferred
  • Basic Excel, Illustrator and Power Point skills required
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Passionate about digital marketing and trends in the marketplace
  • Resourceful individual with scrappy research skills
  • Experience with various social media channels and general understanding of how to promote content within those channels
  • Highly organized and highly communicative
  • Ability to view data points and make conclusions based off that data and generate creative materials and ideas on how to best illustrate that data (i.e. charts, etc.)
  • Knowledgeable about inbound marketing strategies and tactics
  • Comfortable interviewing company employees, clients and industry leaders
  • Extremely detail oriented with a roll up your sleeves attitude
  • Writing samples required
