About You

  • You have experience building high traffic 24x7 web applications in PHP
  • You've dealt with scalability issues, caching, queuing and distributed storage
  • You're well versed in OOP, synchronous and asynchronous design patterns, the DRY principle, and unit testing (maybe even TDD)
  • You have deep experience with relational databases and database architecture (maybe some NoSQL experience too)
  • You're a master of HTML/CSS/Javascript and can bend the browser to your will
  • You're familiar with MVC and application frameworks for PHP
  • You've worked with a DVCS like Git (or are excited to work somewhere that uses it)
  • You thrive in a fast paced, agile, iterative and collaborative engineering environment where quality well tested code is highly valued
  • You're experienced with technologies like MySQL, MongoDB, RabbitMQ, Memcached, Nginx, Lucene, Sphinx and Yii
  • You have a solid foundation in computer science with strong competencies in data structures, algorithms and software design
  • Ideally you have a degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Applied Math or Physics and/or 5+ years of relevant engineering experience

Desktop Systems Administrator

Job Description

Do you love helping people solve technical problems? If so, is looking for you! is seeking a Desktop Systems Administrator to help us grow our IT and web development environment. The Desktop System Administrator's typical day will include providing the 1st line of technical support for our Carlsbad office. The Desktop Systems Administrator is responsible for supporting Windows and Mac systems in the corporate environment and in our production environment. This includes desktops and laptops. The Desktop Systems Administrator will need to build, setup, maintain, implement, and troubleshoot technology problems related to laptops and desktops that affect end-user productivity.

He or she will work closely with all users and management for issue resolutions. He or she will help to provide monitoring for our IT and development infrastructure and assist in its growth. He or she also will need to understand fundamental IT concepts regarding hardware and software, networking, data storage, data backups, and monitoring. The Desktop System Administrator will report to the Chief Technology Officer.

Additional responsibilities include

  • Assist users with their software application requirements and access to IT resources via our helpdesk ticketing system.
  • Performing basic troubleshooting tasks and operating system support on Microsoft Windows OS and Mac OS X.
  • Setting up new users\' systems and environments
  • Manage the Windows Active Directory domain
  • Configuring new applications for emerging business needs
  • Mobile device setup, installation and/or post installation support
  • Provide network, phone system, and desktop support
  • Participate in and drive projects related to Corporate desktop computing such as email, anti-virus software, archiving, backups
  • Document standards, best practices and policies
  • Maintain and organize technology inventory

Required Skills

  • Candidates should have minimum of 2 years of IT support experience
  • Communicate clearly and patiently via email, phone, and in-person conversations
  • Core competency with Microsoft Windows and Familiarity with data backup concepts and systems
  • Core understanding of common PC & Mac hardware components and connections.
  • Good problem-solving skills, ability to troubleshoot without continual escalation to higher levels of support.
  • Strong working knowledge of common applications: email (Gmail), Google drive, desktop publishing (Microsoft Office), web browsers (Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, Chrome)
  • Good data management, organizing, and prioritizing skills. You will be presented with numerous challenges and tasks simultaneously and be expected to track them all through to completion.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions, willingness to learn new procedures and tasks
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds without assistance for the racking or other installation needs for new systems
  • Mac OS X (OS installation, account creation and maintenance, file sharing concepts, printing)
  • Hardware/software training and/or certification in systems
  • Has experience setup and deploy Audio/Visual equipment

Business Development Representative— Digital Media Sales

As a Business Development Representative, you will position our suite of performance based, digital advertising products (Display, PPC, Marketing Ready and Sales Ready Leads) to enterprise level, B2B companies. You will take ownership over your region and drive new opportunities will the goal of growing your region’s book of business. In this role you will

  • Drive new leads for your region through prospecting, cold calling and gaining interest in BDC's suite of digital marketing solutions.
  • You will drive new opportunities with Fortune 1000 B2B companies and set closing appointments with Account Executives for a team sell.
  • Take part in on all phases of the sales cycle such as lead generation, cold calling, online product demonstrations, proposal generation, and campaign implementation on smaller campaigns (<$15k)
  • Form consultative business relationships with key decision makers at Fortune 1000 companies
  • Execute sales tactics, deliver effective sales presentations with enthusiasm and consistently ask for the business
  • Follow B2B digital marketing trends and become a subject matter expert.
  • Enter and track prospects and associated notes within
  • Consistently meet or exceed all activity and revenue goals


  • Minimum 1 year of relevant sales experience
  • Passion for inside sales and driving new business, specifically in online advertising
  • Proven process for lead generation and cold calling
  • Proven track record of meeting and exceeding KPI’s
  • Must demonstrate the ability to persuade others and handle objections
  • Coachable and quick learner, must be able to listen to and implement advice from manager
  • An extraordinary work ethic, with passion for digital media
  • Resourceful. Goes over, under, around and through obstacles to achieve success
  • Experience in digital media is not required, but ideal
