Volunteer Committee
The mission of the Business.com Volunteer Committee is to encourage, promote and coordinate volunteer efforts by BDC employees working together in group activities to directly help members of our local community.

Corporate Giving
Business.com has a policy of corporate giving that includes financial and non-monetary donations to non-profits. The Business.com Senior Management Team coordinates with employees and the Volunteer Committee to donate money and items to local and national charities.
The Green Team
The Business.com Green Team was created by employees dedicated to making Business.com a socially responsible and environmentally sustainable place to work.
Business.com's environmentally sound practices include:
- Purchasing between 30 and 100 % post-consumer recycled content office products including paper, envelopes, business cards, post-it notes, paper towels, napkins, toilet paper and more.
- Informing all vendors and suppliers of our new green purchasing policy that states that we will give preference to vendors that can provide environmentally friendly products at a competitive price point
- Office-wide recycling programs for paper, glass, plastic and batteries
- Donating gently used magazines to local Hospices
- Replacing incandescent bulbs with CFLs
- Company rideshare program
- Educating employees on sustainable practices at work and at home
We're proud to announce that in March of 2009, Business.com received a Sustainable Quality Award for Excellence in Social Responsibility from co-sponsors the Santa Monica Chamber of Commerce, Sustainable Works and the City of Santa Monica.
Some of the socially responsible practices recognized included Business.com's open-door policy among all management, excellent employee benefits and Lunch N' Learn opportunities ranging from "Greening Your Home and Office" to "First-Time Home Buyers Workshop."
