Enhanced Content and Features Further Strengthen its Position as the Online Business Information Leader
SANTA MONICA, Calif., April 3, 2001 - Business.com, the most comprehensive online source for business information, today announced the launch of Business.com version 2.0. This announcement comes on the heels of Business.com's acquisition of Work.com's assets that was made public yesterday.
The site's new features include: enhanced Search, my Business.com as well as Industry and Company Pages. Additionally, Newsletters and in-depth News will be added later this month. The new features add significant value by creating a better user experience as well as providing more targeted inventory and placement options for advertisers, further strengthening its position as the online business information leader.
"Business.com is delivering on its promise of building the world's best resource for finding highly contextual and relevant business information," said Business.com founder and CEO Jake Winebaum. "By continuing to add new features and content, we are establishing ourselves as the best source for business information and providing the most highly-targeted business audience to advertisers."

Industry Pages offer a wealth of tools, research, news, and "best of" industry resources that are selected by Business.com's industry experts.
- Company Pages - The redesigned company pages provide easier navigation of company and people profiles, financial and stock information, competitors, and news. Company pages provide access to information on more than 64,000 public, international and private companies.
- Financial Times Content -Integrated content from Business.com's strategic partner provides access to approximately 300 articles a day from The Financial Times and FT.com; links to FT.com's global archives, which include stories from more than 2000 publications worldwide; and profiles on more than 500 executives representing a variety of industries.
Coming later this month, Business.com will be launching two additional products that will provide deeper industry-specific news from top providers.
- Newsletters - Daily Newsletters provide pertinent and up-to-date news and information on more than 20 industries from 500 top-notch sources. By receiving aggregated news via email, users can find the information they need to stay on top of their industry.
- Enhanced News - Business.com's enhanced News provides information on specific categories and subcategories from 500 top-notch sources, covering more than 20,000 companies, 1,000 industries and 500 business people as well as top business headlines selected by the Business.com editorial team.
Business.com 2.0 creates additional opportunities for advertisers to reach highly targeted business audiences and provides them with a superior marketing platform to target and sell their products and services.
