BUSINESS.COM SEES 50 PERCENT FIRST-QUARTER TRAFFIC INCREASE
Business-to-business products and services site attributes substantial traffic increase to ongoing user experience improvements and growing b-to-b Internet use
Santa Monica, Calif., Apr. 11, 2007 – Business.com, the leading business search engine and pay-per-click advertising network, announced today a 50 percent increase in site traffic for the first quarter of 2007 compared with the first quarter of 2006. The Business.com site had 20.1 million visits in the first quarter of 2007, compared with 13.3 million visits in 2006.
"The continued growth of traffic to Business.com indicates that more people are turning to business-only destinations to quickly find the products and services they need for their businesses," said Jake Winebaum, CEO of Business.com. "The increase also underscores Business.com's ability to help business decision makers find what they need to be successful."
Business-to-business advertisers are also seeing the value of Business.com's traffic growth and ability to reach a concentrated audience of business decision makers. According to Nielsen//NetRatings @Plan (Spring 2007 release), Business.com attracts a high concentration of corporate senior management (ranked No. 4 of all U.S. Internet sites), users purchasing business/office equipment online or offline (No. 2), users purchasing office supplies online (No. 1) and entrepreneurs planning to start a business (No. 3). In February, Business.com announced the addition of The Wall Street Journal Online to the Business.com Advertising Network.
"As more marketers look to boost qualified leads, more are turning to pay-per-click advertising on specialized sites that have a high concentration of the types of business buyers they most want to reach," said Winebaum. "Business.com enables advertisers to reach qualified and motivated business decision makers on the Business.com site and wherever they are across the business Internet."
